Too much screen time = not enough real life.

You might be surprised to learn that almost any activity you or your kids can do is better than watching TV—for health, relationships, imagination and learning. Even educational programs and computer games won’t teach your kids as much as other activities. Worse, television and video games are linked to negative behavior and poorer health. There are a lot of reasons to limit TV!

It may be hard to imagine life without television. With a few changes, though, you’ll probably find you don’t even miss it. TV and other screen-time activities (including video games and computer use) are fine in small doses, so you’re not saying goodbye, just cutting back. Just remember, no more than 2 hours of screen time a day, and preferably even less for children.
